Some Favorite Pictures of Andrew
I have a lot of journals that I write in at various times. This morning, I was in my
room downstairs looking for a book when I picked up a red journal that I
thought was blank. Imagine my complete and utter surprise when I came
across a diary of Andrew's EARLY golfing scores. I think this page was
probably from 1998 (maybe 97?). The last line totally cracked me up that's
why I decided to put the entire page in here. I remember driving him and his
friends to all the various golf courses. This is such a wonderful, welcome
treasure to find on a cloudy, rainy day. THANKS, ANDREW!

REMEMBERING ANDREW
He was a very big baby - two weeks late. Cried so loud
in the nursery for his mama that they wheeled him to me
in his bassinet and said with annoyance, "Here, take him.
He woke up all the other babies."
Causing a commotion wherever he went -- even as a
newborn - all 10 and a half pounds. It's interesting to
recall, that he was always so "full of life" Kind of ironic to
say those words now.
Although I suppose in a way he does live on as an organ
donor. Signed that newly minted driver's license "Why
not?" he stated more than asked.
Never, in a million years, could I have ever imagined he
would indeed one day donate his precious organs to
strangers. The final selfless act. His life was gone,
maybe someone else could live.
So smart -- with an engaging personality, a quick study
and such a bored and disinterested student. No teacher
could harness his energy or reach that amazing intellect
that he hid so well from others.
Such a waste of a perfectly intelligent kid, but he always
had so much fun at school. Demerits, detentions,
whatever. "I go to school to see my friends," he'd proudly
proclaim.
When he was in critical care at the hospital, and after he
died, his friends were there - many, many friends. Then I
understood that he knew what was important: A friend
loves at all times...
God bless my dear, darling Andrew, my sweetie. I miss
him and his impish smile and easygoing way every single
day of my sad, pitiful, lonely life.
NOTE TO ANDREW: Don't fight with Jarrett. Love you,
sweetie - always and forever, Mom
