Photos of Bergs, Vestas and Others
Chester Olson and Everett Berg -
first cousins. Aunt Lillie was
Chet's mom. She was George's
sister. George was my Grandpa
Berg, father of Everett and also my
dad and Gladys, Russell & George.

Back row: Oliver Vesta, George Berg, Elmer Vesta, Ernest Larson
I cropped Grandpa & Grandma Berg out of the
big picture. When Sadie Vesta and George
Berg posed for this confirmation picture, I'm
fairly certain neither of them knew that in a few
years, they would be getting married to one
another!
FOUR GENERATIONS: Great
grandfather, grandmother, mother, son
Sam Peterson (father of Sarah), Sarah (Peterson)
Berg (Mrs. Ludwig Berg) holding Fred L. Busse
son of her daughter Grace (Berg) Busse.
Sarah is George Berg's mother, my dad's
grandma & my great grandma
This was a VERY bad picture of a picture, but since it
has the five Berg kids in it, I decided to tweak it a little
bit but it's still hard to see.

FAMILY OF LUDWIG & SARAH BERG
Front row: Ludwig Berg, Sarah (Peterson) Berg, Norris
Back row: Lillie (Berg) Olson, Leonard, Henry, George, Grace (Berg) Busse
I just realized that both of these pictures were taken at the same time. Notice the outfits
that Sarah and Grace are wearing. I wonder if Sam's wife was there for this picture. I'll
have to check the time line and see when Freddie was born. Very interesting. I love
these pictures!!!!

Thanks to Lisa Berg, Uncle Everett's
grand-daughter, we found out that Sam
Vesta's real name was Eliseus
Abrahamson. He was from a town in
Norway called "Vested" which is
apparently where they came up with the
Vesta name. His two brothers (Lars and
Albret) who came to America, also
changed their names to Louis and Albert
Vesta. There was a brother, Adolph,
who remained in Norway.
