July 4, 2010 & 2011 - Happy Birthday USA!
Sunday, July 4, 2010 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to US!!! - While I was going through some of my
old journal pages, I thought I had a link to the Declaration of Independence but I mis-remembered.
Every year, we should all be required to read that so we don't forget where we came from -- if you
know what I mean.
This has been quite an ordeal -- trying to get this up and running. I've had some glitches and
minor setbacks, but I finally did it - hooray for me. The following are some links to previous fourth
of July journal postings -- and pictures.
July 1-7, 2004 - I reduced one of the BIG old journal pages into two pages - this is the first one
July 1, 2006 - Boys, Bryar and morel mushrooms and Gayla and the girls
July 4, 2007 - Diane came to visit and we had a party on the 4th of July
July 4, 2009 - Journal from 2006 and Diane, a child of the corn (reminiscing)
This is all for now. I'll do more when I'm not so tired. bye for now, djb

Monday, July 4, 2010 - Today, we
remember Chuck. We definitely wish he
was still here with us. God bless Chuck -
he'll forever be in our hearts.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to US!!! - We had our
4th of July pool party yesterday. Well, Julie
and Clyde came over and Julie and I played
in the pool like a couple of fifth graders. It
was nice. In fact, the weather was almost
perfect except that it was pretty cloudy but
warm.
This morning, it IS PERFECT outside. The
sun is shining, very light breeze and the
temperature is perfect.....not too hot, not
too cold -- just right.
For some reason, I want to go to Kirkland.
I still remember the question: "Where are
you going on the Fourth?" The answer was
always: KIRKLAND
Hope you have a calm and peaceful day,
with not too many booms! ~djb
