Current Journal - May 30 & June 2, 2009
Saturday, May 30, 2009 - Today is traditional
Memorial Day, actually the real (traditional)
DECORATION DAY. I realize that I'm "old school"
when it comes to the past, however, you never know
when you might need a trivial piece of information
about stuff and such....
Yesterday, I put a link to my Blogger Blogs (Andrew
& Jarrett's Other Website and Andrew & Jarrett,
the Saintly Boys - Forever in Our Hearts) on the
home page above the link to slideshow website.
I'm not sure WHY I did two of them - Oh yeah, it had
something to do with changing formats on their end
and I thought they were going to do away with the old
one but they didn't - surprise!
If you click on the BLUE words above, you'll go to the
first Blog. On the right side of that page, below my
profile, are links to Google News, this website, the
other Blogger website.
There are definitely advantages to having those other
websites For one thing, they're a lot easier to update
than this one, but they don't have music. Of course,
ever since I had a problem a while back, I stopped
doing the tunes. It must've been the day the music
died....bye bye.
Every time I write in here on this website, just
remember that it's not easy for me. On Monday, it'll be
396 days since I went to the first (of nine)
ophthamologist for the FIRST TIME......and it's been
downhill ever since. whine,whine,whine.....
It's still freaking COLD here. I'm so sick of this
weather. Almost June and I have on socks, sweat
pants and a SWEATER. brrrrr
Last weekend, we opened up the swimming pool and
I've been tending it all week - running the filter, putting
in chemicals. It's now clear except for some residue
on the bottom. WOW! Less than a week from nothing
to something. But, of course, it's VERY, VERY, VERY
COLD.
see ya later, djb
My spurge was kind of puny this year.
Aren't these pink tulips pretty? Answer: Yes
I love these dark purple tulips!
TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2009 - My recollection was that I broke my foot on
June 3rd, but it was actually 5 years ago TODAY. The old journals are
kind of confusing -- even to me and I wrote them!!! The basic
information is there. Here's the link:
While I was searching for the journal page about my broken left foot, I
came across this other journal from three years ago with pictures of my
Aunt Anna right around the time when she died. Plus I also wished Alan
& Veralee and Jake & Gayla happy anniversaries -- which I missed by
one day this year. Plus, I was having a huge meltdown about the way
the school handled the boys scholarships. Actually, I was quite
steamed!!
Gotta go. My eye is bothering me as usual.... SEE ya later, djb
RIGHT: Here's
my broken left
foot. Thankfully, I
had a pedicure
BEFORE I broke
it or I would've
been SO
embarrassed.
