Uncle George, my dad, Uncle Everett at the Bergs' 50th
Anniversary party
Wednesday, October 11, 2006 - I started this day running in high
gear and I never stopped.  Just now, I brought in a bunch of
plants from outside.  It's supposed to get to 31 degrees tonight,
so the tender plants would FREEZE.  Of course, anything I bring
in the house has to be de-bugged first.  The hibiscus are so
gorgeous.  Oh shoot.  I just remembered the mandevilla.  I've got
to go out and get that right now before I forget!  be back soon....the
mandevilla had gotten blown over by the wind.  whew!  That baby
is so gorgeous.  I'm glad I was able to save her!

Bergs are coming here tomorrow so I've spent all day cleaning
and washing things.  Granny told me that I didn't have to do that.
yeah right!

I can't believe that Uncle Everett died.  He's been here all my life.
It's very sad.  I know we all have to die.  It doesn't make it any less
sad. There are always constants in your life and he was one of
them.  We didn't have our picnic this year because he wasn't well
enough to travel.  Now, he's coming back home for his final rest
next to Aunt Lucille in Mt. Auburn cemetery.  That's right across the
road from where Grandma and Grandpa O'Malley are buried.
God bless all of my saintly loved ones! later, djb

This is my grandma and grandpa Berg with their children:  Russell, Gale, Gladys,
Everett and George in the early 50's.  Standing on the porch is Aunt Lucille and Aunt
Rachel is to the left standing on the grass.  Sonja is sitting on the porch.
Friday, October 13, 2006 - Yes, it is Friday the 13th.  Good luck to you.  I found this picture above of George and Sadie and their kids -
my dad and his siblings.  Bergs got here yesterday.  They left Florida in the 70's and arrived here to snow and the 30's.  Yikes!!!  I have
the link to Everett's obituary.  I'll try to put that in here.  If it doesn't work, then I'll just put in his entire obit on a separate page.  Tomorrow
is his funeral.  I do understand the need for funerals and other rites of passage.  It's for the people who are still here - a time to say
goodbye and to comfort one another.  I already missed him this summer because we didn't have our annual picnic.  We were going to
celebrate his birthday next week, instead this week, we celebrate his entire life.  God bless Uncle Everett, Marilyn, Cindy and Larry and
their families and Aunt Gladys and my dad.....and all the people in all of our families....  bye for now, djb

Saturday, October 14, 2006 - Today was Everett's funeral.  I didn't come on the computer at all today.  However, I will put a link to this
page on my navigation bar so it's easier to access Uncle Everett's information and the pictures.  djb
